LAMINATE
CARE GUIDE
Laminate floors are designed to stand up to
the toughest household conditions. However, to keep it looking it's best,
follow these simple instructions for protection and care:
 | Remove loose dirt by using a
non-beater bar vacuum, broom or dust mop.
|
 |
To clean, use a
damp mop or cloth with Laminate Cleaner. Do not saturate floor. If
cleaner is unavailable, the following can also be used.
A damp mop or terry cloth
with a vinegar and water solution (1/4 cup white vinegar added to 1 gallon of
water). This solution will be easiest to use if applied with a spray
bottle. Do not saturate the floor.
|
 |
Do not use
abrasive cleaners (such as Mr. Clean), steel wool, soap-based detergents, waxes,
polishes, ammonia-based cleaners or scouring powders because they may scratch or
dull the flooring surface.
|
 | Wipe up spills immediately.
Avoid allowing liquids to stand on the floor.
|
 |
A more frequent
dust mopping or vacuuming schedule may be required in very dusty areas or rural
homes.
|
 |
For tough spots
such as candle wax or chewing gum, harden the spot with ice or a frozen food
carton and then gently scrape, being careful not to scrape the flooring surface
with a plastic scrapper such as a credit card. Wipe clean with a damp
cloth.
